Meet the Princeton TX Diverse Founders
Brandy and John Kusterbeck
I’ve been in Princeton since 2007. I’m a mom of 5 girls (18, 17, 16, 15, & 11)!!! I’m a cheer mom, band mom, PTO mom, down for anything mom. I coached peewee cheer In Princeton for 10 years. I’m an accountant, so I was the Lacy Elementary PTO Treasurer for a few years. I’m addicted to helping kids because they’re pure goodness. Encouraging that and surrounding yourself with that is good for the soul. I’ve also been a teen mom, single-mom, working mom, stay-at-home mom, going to college mom, traveling abroad mom, and applying for food stamps mom. I’ve been there. I’ve struggled. And IT. SUCKS. And therein lies my goal with creating Princeton TX Diverse. If you need some food, as a community, let’s help. You need to learn a skill to better yourself? As a community, let’s help. You’re LGBTQ, a minority, disabled, & you feel like you don’t fit in? As a community, let’s help. I know only what I know. I can only help how I know how. But if we all work together, we can build each other up and exceed any of our own expectations. – Brandy

I lived in Princeton in 2015 for 6 months then moved back in 2019 after deciding I really loved the small town vibe. I was born and raised in Dallas, so I’d never been a part of a smaller community. My husband, Brian and I have 5 boys and 3 girls (15, 13, 12, 9, 7, 6, 3, and 1) and I was a surrogate for a couple in 2015! I am the shy, quiet, behind-the-scenes type. I am a crafter and a designer. I have always loved to help others anywhere I can. I have also been a single mom dealing with hard times so I love to share from my experiences along the way. The only way to grow as a community is to water the garden for one another! I am so glad I have found my people here in Princeton.
